Our Introduction
Building Research Institute (P) Ltd., BREINS Engineering, is a research oriented Structural Engineering based private organization duly registered under the Government of Nepal (GoN) - Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Supply at the Company of Registrar in the year 2008. Its registered number is 54650/065/066. All of our engineers are registered at Nepal Engineering Council (NEC); the only regulatory body under the GoN that grants license for professional practice.
It is established by the professional Structural Engineers with a sole aim to provide highly specialized services in Structural, Earthquake Engineering and allied fields. Our team also comprises of Geotechnical Engineers, Material Technologists, Construction Engineers and pool of related experts.
We are working to build earthquake safe communities by proper application of engineering in accordance with projects' need, economic viability and social need. Our qualified engineers are well versed with recent updates in technological advancements - to serve our valued clients in the best possible ways.

Our Goal
It is estimated that in an average, about 10,000 of human lives are lost each year due to casualties in earthquakes across the globe. Nepal, situated at the boundary of seismically active Himalayan belt at its northern side has witnessed shakings of moderate to severe ones.
In this scenario, what we believe in is better "earthquake preparedness" as the best approach in mitigating deadly aftermath in major seismic events. Our team of expertise is dedicated to engineer the seismically safe & durable infrastructures in pursuit of development of safer communities; thereby, the nation as a whole.
We have envisioned achieving better earthquake preparedness by means of strengthening of the existing vulnerable buildings and other civil structures. Also, application of latest availaible technologies in earthquake engineering embracing the performance based design approaches for the new projects are our major goals.
To speed-up in achieving our goal, empowerment of technical/non-technical personnel by conducting various training packages also forms the part of our goal.

Our Recently Added Services
We are now pleased to offer you the Seismic Dampers (Fluid viscous dampers) for the first time in Nepal; which once installed in buildings and other civil structures - provide the desired safety level even in severe earthquakes; by enhancing damping level.
This technology was first introduced in 1970's in US for its aerospace defense industry and was made available for the civil use in 90's only.
